My name is Robert Keller. Since 2020, I am a tenured research professor for Information Management & Digitalization at the Faculty of Tourism-Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten and the Institute for Sustainable and Innovative Tourism (INIT). In my spare time, I am interested in astronomy and soccer.

Research
My scientific interest grounds in interdisciplinary research on applied data science and and behavioral science for visitor management and smart mobility. Prior to this work, I did research in Energy Informatics. My research is cited more than 1000 times (according to Google Scholar).
I’ve been asked to review for several renowned journals and conferences (e.g., Business & Information Systems Engineering, Electronic Markets, Information Systems Journal, Joule, Applied Energy). I also served as associate editor for conferences and reviewer for funding programs.
Furthermore, I am supervisor and external reviewer of several doctoral theses. Former PhD Students: Dr. Felix Baumgarte, Dr. Felix Röhrich.

Knowledge transfer
Besides teaching at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten, passing on my knowledge to the general public is part of my job as a professor. I have already been invited on television (ARD Morgenmagazin, BR Abendschau), on the radio (BR24, Bayern 3), and at various conferences and events as a speaker on topics related to digitalization and visitor management. I also run a podcast for bachelor students:
