I Work at the intersection of IT and Human Behavior

My name is Robert Keller. I am a research professor for Information Management & Digitalization at the Faculty of Tourism-Management at the Kempten University of Applied Sciences and co-director of the Institute for Sustainable and Innovative Tourism (INIT). In my leisure time, I am interested in astrophysics, gaming, and sport.

Research & Academic Impact

My scientific interest grounds in interdisciplinary research on Applied Analytics and Behavioral Analytics in Tourism. Prior to this work, I did research in Energy Informatics. My research is cited more than 2000 times. You can find my publications at Google Scholar.

I’ve been asked to edit and review for several renowned journals, conferences, and funding programs. For example, I am editor at Information Technology & Tourism.

Furthermore, I am supervisor of several doctoral theses. Former PhD Students: Dr. Felix Baumgarte, Dr. Jessica Bollenbach, Dr. Felix Röhrich, and Dr. Patrick Rövekamp.

Research Transfer

Besides my role as research professor for digitalization & information management at the the Kempten University of Applied Sciences, I am co-director of the Institute for Sustainable and Innovative Tourism (INIT). My team works in applied research projects and provides studies related to digitalization and sustainability in tourism.
